didn't know where to put this, so...

but this is all just for fun. fun becuz I'm pretty much bored as hell. the point of the thread is for girls and guys alike to post the funniest, cutest or "insert adjective" pick up lines or ways they've picked up a girl/guy. there was this girl in high school that I really liked. I got her number as a friend and we texted for a month about foolishness. then, I started to play this game with her called "mystery date." so, each time I called her, I would describe a detail about my mystery date becuz she was always nosey about my love life. she would trade details back and forth. we both sorta figured out that we were describing our mystery dates as ourselves but we never let each other know. finally, I told her "you know this mystery girl's name starts with an M." she told me "my mystery guy's name starts with a D." then I finally told her "you know we're describing ourselves... would you like to go to prom with me, Meg?" she said "of course!"

Faux Intellectualism, Awaaay~~!

Anyone ever heard of the Chomsky bot? The Chomsky bot is a program that will create a paragraph that is devoid of any meaning, but reads like it an intellectual piece. Basically, it's all about style and diction over substance.

My challenge to you:

Take an extremely stupid and simplistic idea/sentence, and make it as tortuously long and academic sounding in your best intellectual speak. The more nonsense you can cram into it, the better. So, instead of saying "the sky is blue", say, "the ozone layer which in engulfs the terra takes on a visually cyan-esque hue". Instead of saying "people are selfish, no matter what we say", say "it is human nature that the self be hopelessly obsessed with the betterment one's own social, economic, and emotional status at the exclusion of the welfare of others, despite our social teachings better attempt to discourage such tendencies".

alternative forms can include

- corporate speak
- velvet flowery adjective laden prose
- really, any kind of jargon you may damn well please!

when doing this, post the original idea/sentence first, and then write the entry!

- If it wasn't for America, and defeating the communist Jews in the Cold War, we'd all be treated like hamsters and be enslaved by Jewish military officials.
- We won Viet Nam, don't listen to the Democrats.
- Situation in Middle East: Working as intended, don't listen to those filthy Democrats.
- War of 1812 was staged so people would be more enticed to move up to the hostile and mostly inhabitable north wastelands, IE: Our Economic Pump: Canada.
- America is the greatest country on earth, despite what those foul toothed European Aristocrat nazis will tell you. I mean look at how many people move from Mexico to America daily! America is such a desirable place to live in, we have to set up bouncers at the doors!
