Cutters, A little kick of reality for you Options

Well first of. If you cut to fit in, or for fun, or for attention. Please by all means cut deeper.

However, if you cut because of shit in your life or whatever. Put down your razor and take a look at yourself and reality.
Why yes cutting can be a release for you, stress wise and give you a temporary high. But it's just an idiotic way to deal with things. You can't go on with your life just cutting yourself because shit gets hard. If you could take grasp of your own life. You could probably find hapiness if you TRIED to. Which is so much better than a high.

Can't stop cutting? Throw your shit away, and make a damn stand to yourself. Not "I want to quit. But it feels good". But "I'm a human being goddamnit, and I have value for my own life". Because from what I hear. Getting over cutting sounds like nothing compaired to Hard drugs. So quit saying you cannot quit. Because if you give yourself the will power and the respect. You can. Need to find a release? Find something creative and positive, rather than self destructive to do. Music, Friends, Instruments, Art. Things like that.
Because people normally cut for the release, if you have nothing really serious you need to release about anymore. Why should you cut? Because being honest here. You may think Cutting is alright now. But in 10 or 20 years. You'll probably regret it for most of your life.
I've gone through with my own self destructive behaviour as a release, and I DO regret it.

I tried it and it calmed me down, but when my friends saw they just gave me the most pitying looks I've ever seen on their damn faces.

I did a while back, I had the stuff about how much the mental hospital costs, and what they do, and how the children's department for safety will keep checking on you, and stuff. It was a little while back, like maybe 3-4 months.

I cut sometimes, well, mostly my friend cuts me, she has CLAWS. But, I don't really do it for attention. I rarely do it anymore. It never scarred.

How many times are there going to be topics about CUTTERS, GET A REALITY CHECK. Are you under the impression this is going to help anyone? Why not try to help them personally instead of making ANOTHER topic about cutting. We have enough topics as it is. I am pointing out the fact that this is just a rehash of the same topic many others have made before. If this was giving advice to someone, I have no problem with it but it's just another way of saying YEAHHHH I'M BETTER THAN CUTTERSSSSSSSSSSS.

Go talk to someone who you know cut and give him or her that advice instead of another topic repeating the same god damn thing. What's the purpose of this topic, I would love to know.

The suck it up and walk it off approach is quite lacking compassion. It is telling the OP has never cut. I never have either to manage my pain but in the end that is what it is all about. Self destructive behavior is used to manage pain because some of us do not know how to get rid of the pain altogether. In the end you can turn to cutting or chemicals or sex but after the feelings wears off the real problem still remains.
