Forum Suggestion Options

So, we have an Emo Music Forum, and an Emo Poems, Art, And photos Forum.
Why not add a TV/Movie forum? And/or add Film/video to the Emo Poems, Art, and Photos forum?

 No. Why a straight out no? Because we actually used to have exactly what you're talking about. The forums used to be structured differently, with two main sections.

1) Emo Forums
 Subforums: 
- Newbies Introduction Area
- FAQ + Suggestions 
- Emo Talk. 
- Hot or Not 
- Emo Hair and Fashion
- Emo Music 
- Emo poems and stories
- Emo entertainment

2) General 
Subforums: 
- The Hangout
- Help and Advice 
- Gender and Sexuality
- Singles Scene 
- Forum Games (subsection again of Role Play Games). 


Then we decided to shake up the forums. Emo Talk, The Hangout, and Emo Entertainment were all merged. Help and Advice and Broken Hearts were merged. Hair and Fashion and singles scene both became sub-forums of Hot Or Not. 

We asked the members what they thought of the forum merge and most replied saying they liked it, that it's more clear where threads belong and that sections of the forum can be a lot more active. The hangout does suit that sort of discussion - books and movies ARE off topic discussion and don't belong to any other section.

Can you guys add a chat box on this forum?

Because on some of the other forums they had one and it was awesome.
The members could chat with one other if they wanted to.

And also, could you add a music player on the sight?
Like in the right hand corner or something like that so when you click it, it will directed play the song.

a) thats been suggested multiple times, it's aways been no.
But whatever.

can someone please fix the drop down bar

since forums have been merged there is no point in having all those seperate forums like we used

I sometimes look at it and think that they are two different forums when they are actually not

Honestly why do we need one? We seem to do fine without one. You've got the comment areas on profiles, you've got private messaging, a lot of topics seem to have just random convos happening and also you can add people to your msn etc so honestly it isn't needed plus also what Niks said.

@ Music Flow. The only person who can fix the drop down bars is admin himself and he is aware of the fact that they need to be changed.

Honestly one of the main things about EC that appeals to me is the lack of extra items like chat rooms, etc. It forces people (well, not really, but more so) to participate in the actual forum. I like how it doesn't have confusing and repetitive "quote within quote" boxes. I like the plain, white background.

I can actually focus on this forum, and not be ADD spammed by cosmetics which add nothing to functionality.

If you want eye-candy, this is not the place.
If you want to be able to carry out a train of thought without unnecessary distractions, it is gold. Shimmering gold.

EC is like an old house. Comfortable, plain, and gets the job done.
Other forums, for all the "Richie Rich Mansion" appeal, just seem to cater to the people who feel entitled to pretty colors.

We are well aware of the problem and have told admin multiple times. He is the only one who can fix that. It's on his list of things to do, I guess.
